Localized URLs

if I am not mistaken or unless I was not able to correctly install the module (generally talking about versions 5.x, but possibly the latest 6 as well) one missing feature of PL is that URLs are not localized. For instance, if I have a page called home in English and accueil in French the resulting urls would be ~/en-us/home.aspx and ~/fr-fr/home.aspx instead of ~/fr-fr/accueil.aspx.

What do you think? Has this ever been discussed before?

Hi Franco,

This is sure a intersting feature.

But it was never been implemented in the past and as you know this project is not actively maintained.

To archive this feature, i think you have to make a new UrlRewriter module that use the PageLocalization settings.

But, this project is open to all contibutions... I can help to incorporate them.

Hi Sacha,

thanks, you confirm my assumption that it was not there before. The native dnn localization has it, however, and I think it is an important SEO feature. Not being a developer I cannot really contribute, except for giving my encouragement to those who eventually dare to do it ;-)

For url control I use URL master module from Ifinity...recommended

What we need is a stable settings tab localization
